We recently added the Image Hotspot plugin to OPTe (Genius or Enterprise Plan) for creating interactive hotspot images, so if you’re interested in making your site stand out from the crowd, Image Hotspot by DevVn might just be the plugin you’ve been looking for.

Plugin Overview

Have you ever wanted to place clickable hotspots onto your images? Then you might want to try out a third-party plugin called Image Hotspot.

The Image Hotspot plugin by DevVN is an easy to use plugin that allows you to create interactive images by adding multiple hotspot points. The hotspot points are hoverable pins on the image. Hovering over the pins pops up a small box filled with your content. The points can also be configured as a link.

Get creative! This can be used in many ways on a wide variety of websites.

Installation, Tutorials, and Documentation

If your website is on OPTe, just go to the built-in library via your admin dashboard to activate this plugin. If not, you can find the Image Hotspot plugin in the WordPress repository.

Head on over to the WordPress repository to find everything you need to know about the Image Hotspot plugin, including installation instructions and a customization tutorial.

PluginTut is an awesome place to get valuable WordPress plugin tutorials. I highly recommend that you check out the “How to Create Clickable Hotspot Maps” article, where Matt gives you a step by step process with this featured plugin.

A big thanks to Le Van Toan for creating this easy to use and lightweight plugin!

We want to hear from you. Have you tried the Image Hotspot plugin? Let us know about your experience with it in the comments below.
